Plastic Door Curtains

Stocked Plastic Door Curtains are clear and transparent PVC strips that are widely used at dock doors and other doorways to reduce heat loss or cooled air through doorways, protect workers, and reduce noise. Loading dock curtain kits allow natural light in dark areas and ease of access. Heavy duty PVC strips have excellent optical clarity. Build your plastic door curtains in 5 easy steps below.

Optimize Traffic Flow and Climate Control with Industrial Plastic Door Curtains

The Operational Cost of Unprotected Doorways

In busy industrial and commercial environments, open doorways are a primary source of energy loss and operational inefficiency. Whether in a warehouse, cold storage facility, or retail stockroom, every time a door is left open for pedestrian or forklift traffic, conditioned air escapes and external contaminants enter. This leads to fluctuating internal temperatures, increased strain on HVAC and refrigeration systems, and the potential for dust, insects, and noise to infiltrate clean working zones. Traditional solid doors are often impractical for high-frequency access points, as they slow down logistics and create safety hazards due to restricted visibility between zones.

Durable, High-Visibility Environmental Barriers

Our plastic door curtains provide a rugged, professional-grade solution designed to seal openings while allowing for seamless, hands-free passage. As a core application within our PVC strip curtains range, these systems are manufactured from high-grade, flexible PVC that is engineered for clarity and long-term durability. By creating a thermal and physical overlap, these curtains act as a constant barrier that yields instantly to traffic and snaps back into place immediately after passage. This ensures that the environmental seal is maintained without hindering the speed of your operations, making them an essential component for modern facility management.

Strategic Benefits of Tailored Plastic Door Systems

  • Advanced Thermal and Energy Efficiency: Creating an effective temperature shield that retains heat in winter and maintains cold chain integrity in refrigerated areas, significantly reducing utility costs.
  • Superior Contaminant and Pest Control: Acting as a formidable barrier against dust, fumes, and flying insects, ensuring that sensitive production areas and food storage zones remain hygienic and compliant.
  • Enhanced Workplace Safety: Utilizing high-clarity, transparent strips that provide excellent through-visibility, preventing collisions at busy intersections and allowing natural light to flow between areas.
  • Industrial-Grade Material Longevity: Constructed from UV-stabilized PVC with rounded edges to prevent injury, our curtains are resistant to tearing and abrasion, even in heavy-duty environments with frequent forklift use.
Measuring

Step 1 – Width x Height

  • Measure the width and the height of the door
opening or area where you want to install the
    strips.
  • Add 152 mm more in total height and add 152mm total in width
    if you want wall
    mount hardware

Step 2 – Choose Your Hardware

  • Decide on the type of mounting that best fits
    your application

    • Wall mount is preferred on doorways. This gets
the hardware out of the doorway and allows the
strips to overlap the door jambs for maximum
      seal and air lock.
    • For in-jamb use header mount, simply order the
exact size you need to span the opening.
    • Universal mount can also be used when you are
      not sure.
