Protect Your Equipment with Heavy-Duty Custom Utility Trailer Covers
The Challenge of Protecting Open-Bed Cargo
Utility trailers are essential for transporting equipment, materials, and machinery, yet their open-bed design leaves cargo highly vulnerable to the elements and road hazards. During transport, rain, snow, and road salt can penetrate standard coverings, leading to the corrosion of metallic tools and the saturation of moisture-sensitive materials. Furthermore, at motorway speeds, wind-lofting can cause loose debris to escape or result in the rapid shredding of low-quality, "one-size-fits-all" tarpaulins. Without a secure, professional-grade barrier, the trailer’s wooden decking is also subject to rot, while the constant exposure to UV radiation causes structural tie-downs and tires to degrade prematurely.
Industrial-Grade Shielding for Mobile Assets
Our custom utility trailer covers provide a rugged, professional-grade solution designed to withstand the unique aerodynamic stresses of the road. As a primary protective offering within our storage covers range, these enclosures are manufactured from high-tensile, reinforced vinyl that is 100% waterproof and UV-stabilized. Precision-tailored to the exact length, width, and height of your trailer frame, our covers provide a drum-tight fit that eliminates the "parachute effect" and prevents water from pooling. This industrial-grade barrier ensures that your load remains bone-dry and secure, protecting both the transported goods and the trailer’s structural integrity from the rigors of long-distance hauling and outdoor storage.
Strategic Benefits of Tailored Trailer Enclosures
- Comprehensive Weather and Road Salt Defense: Providing an impermeable weather seal that shields your cargo and trailer bed from rust, moisture ingress, and corrosive road spray.
- Advanced Aerodynamic Stability: Featuring a custom-contoured design and reinforced fastening points to ensure the cover stays firmly anchored at high speeds, reducing drag and preventing material flapping.
- Total UV and Material Preservation: Utilizing UV-opaque materials to prevent the sun-bleaching of equipment and protecting the trailer’s tires and seals from UV-induced brittleness.
- Industrial-Grade Material Longevity: Constructed from 100% waterproof, puncture-resistant PVC that is engineered to resist tearing and mildew, providing a long-lasting and low-maintenance protective solution.

Common Questions
Which material should I choose?
If you are trying to choose between the 18oz and 12oz vinyl materials, please choose based on your environment. For regular weather conditions, 12 oz. vinyl is a great material at a slightly less expensive price. If you are going to experience heavy weather conditions such as heavy snow, heavy rain, and lots of wind, then please choose the 18 oz. vinyl material.
What is the most common material?
The 18 ounce vinyl is used to make 90% of the covers ALCO offers. Even though both materials are equally strong and look the same, the majority of customers pick the thicker material.
Are they easy to clean?
Yes. Contrary to other polyester covers that resemble canvas, vinyl is a material that is extremely slick and is therefore simple to clean. Canvas will capture and hold mold and stains that are difficult to remove, as opposed to the sleek ALCO Vinyl custom furniture covers.
How strong are the covers?
18 oz vinyl is a very strong and long-lasting material, in fact, it is the same material that is used on the semi trailers to cover their cargo! As you can imagine, the abuse the material can endure on the highway is extreme, and if they didn't hold up, the truckers would not use them. That is why 18 oz vinyl is one of the strongest covers that you can purchase.
My cover will be used indoors. Which material is ideal?
The 600D material is the perfect material for indoors or even outdoors if its mostly in the shade and not in harsh conditions.
