Description

Protect Critical Heating Equipment with Custom Outdoor Heater Covers

The Vulnerability of Precision Heating Components

Outdoor heaters, whether commercial patio towers or wall-mounted infrared units, are high-performance tools that are frequently left exposed to the elements. These units contain sensitive electronic igniters, delicate ceramic elements, and gas delivery systems that are highly susceptible to moisture and humidity. When left uncovered, rain can seep into the burner assembly, causing internal corrosion and blocking the pilot light, leading to inconsistent performance and costly service calls. Furthermore, in coastal or industrial areas, salt air and pollutants can chemically attack the stainless steel or powder-coated finishes, resulting in "tea-staining" and pitting that degrades the unit's professional appearance and structural safety.

Industrial-Grade Protection for Hospitality and Domestic Heaters

Our custom outdoor heater covers provide a rugged, professional-grade solution designed to maintain your heating assets in peak operational condition. As a specialized protective application within our storage covers range, these enclosures are manufactured from high-tensile, reinforced vinyl that is 100% waterproof and UV-stabilized. Unlike thin retail alternatives that crack after one season, our covers are engineered to withstand the thermal stress of cooling equipment and remain flexible in sub-zero temperatures. Each cover is precision-tailored to the specific height and diameter of your heater, ensuring a drum-tight fit that prevents wind-catch and eliminates the moisture-trapping gaps common in generic "universal" covers.

Strategic Benefits of Tailored Heater Enclosures

  • Advanced Ignition and Component Protection: Providing an impermeable moisture barrier that protects electrical circuits, gas valves, and heating elements from rain, snow, and morning dew.
  • Total UV and Finish Preservation: Shielding exterior casings and control interfaces from sun-bleaching and UV-induced embrittlement, maintaining the aesthetic value of your hospitality space.
  • Contaminant and Pest Defense: Keeping burner heads and ventilation vents free from spider webs, dust, and garden debris, ensuring a clean and safe ignition every time.
  • Secure All-Weather Performance: Featuring reinforced hems and industrial-grade fastening systems to ensure the cover stays firmly in place during high winds, protecting the unit's high center of gravity from wind-induced instability.

Common Questions

Which material should I choose?

If you are trying to choose between the 18oz and 12oz vinyl materials, please choose based on your environment. For regular weather conditions, 12 oz. vinyl is a great material at a slightly less expensive price. If you are going to experience heavy weather conditions such as heavy snow, heavy rain, and lots of wind, then please choose the 18 oz. vinyl material.

What is the most common material?

The 18 ounce vinyl is used to make 90% of the covers ALCO offers. Even though both materials are equally strong and look the same, the majority of customers pick the thicker material.

Are they easy to clean?

Yes. Contrary to other polyester covers that resemble canvas, vinyl is a material that is extremely slick and is therefore simple to clean. Canvas will capture and hold mold and stains that are difficult to remove, as opposed to the sleek ALCO Vinyl custom furniture covers.

How strong are the covers?

18 oz vinyl is a very strong and long-lasting material, in fact, it is the same material that is used on the semi trailers to cover their cargo! As you can imagine, the abuse the material can endure on the highway is extreme, and if they didn't hold up, the truckers would not use them. That is why 18 oz vinyl is one of the strongest covers that you can purchase.

My cover will be used indoors. Which material is ideal?

The 600D material is the perfect material for indoors or even outdoors if its mostly in the shade and not in harsh conditions.

Common Questions

Kiosk Covers — Frequently Asked Questions

Do you make kiosk covers to my exact size?

Yes. We manufacture each kiosk cover to your exact width × depth × height. Just enter precise measurements — we add allowance for a smooth, fitted look on all sides except the height.

Which material should I choose?

12oz vinyl is a medium-duty, waterproof outdoor option with a slick, easy-to-clean surface. 600D polyester offers a fabric-like texture for lighter outdoor or shaded conditions. 200D polyester is light-duty for indoor or temporary use. All provide UV protection and double-layer hems.

Are the covers waterproof and UV resistant?

Yes. All materials are UV-rated and water-repellent. Vinyl provides the best year-round outdoor resistance against rain, wind, and snow.

Can the covers be used outdoors year-round?

Yes. AKON kiosk covers are designed for all-season use. The vinyl version is recommended for full sun and weather exposure, while polyester suits covered or mild environments.

Will the cover protect from rain and debris?

Absolutely. Each cover forms a complete barrier against rain, dust, pollen, and debris, keeping kiosks and equipment clean and dry.

How does the cover stay secure?

Choose from elastic hems, tie-down straps with side-release buckles, or grommets for cord or rope tie-downs. Add bottom drawcords for windy locations.

Are the covers easy to install and remove?

Yes. Each cover is lightweight and flexible. Simply slide it over the kiosk and secure it with straps or hems. Optional split designs and zippers make setup even faster.

Can I add access zippers or openings?

Yes. We can add vertical or horizontal zippers, roll-up flaps, or hook-and-loop openings for daily access to screens, doors, or controls without removing the entire cover.

Can I add logos, text, or color-coding?

Yes. We offer branding, text printing, and color matching to match your company or venue style. Send us your artwork for a free proof.

What colors are available?

Standard vinyl colors: Black, Brown, Blue, White, Tan, Red, Navy, Yellow, Olive Green, and Gray. Custom colors available upon request for larger orders.

How do I measure my kiosk?

Measure the overall width × depth × height of the kiosk, including any trim, handles, or equipment that extends outward. Use the How to Measure guide for reference.

How do I clean and maintain the cover?

Wipe with mild soap and water, rinse, and air-dry. Avoid abrasives, bleach, or machine washing. The slick vinyl surface wipes clean easily.

What’s the lead time, shipping, and warranty?

Fabrication usually takes 10–12 work days. Free shipping on orders over $150. Vinyl warranty: 5 years. Polyester warranty: 3 years.

Are the covers flame-retardant?

Yes. All materials meet NFPA and California Fire Marshal standards for flame resistance, suitable for commercial venues and events.

Do you offer discounts for bulk orders?

Yes. Use the custom quote link for volume pricing, multi-location orders, or event fleet programs.
