Industrial Rubber Curtains

Stocked Industrial Rubber Curtains are clear and transparent strips that are widely used at dock doors and other doorways to reduce temperature loss. By installing these curtains, you will prevent cold or warm air from entering the facility, create a safer work environment, and reduce noise. Vinyl strips allow natural light in dark areas and ease of access. Heavy duty PVC strips have excellent optical clarity. Rubber strip curtain walls divide manufacturing processes and can stretch for a very long distance. Build your strip curtain kit in 5 easy steps below. Here are some key benefits:

Protect High-Impact Zones with Heavy-Duty Industrial Rubber Curtains

The Challenge of Extreme Abrasive Environments

In heavy industrial settings, standard vinyl partitions often lack the structural resilience required to withstand aggressive mechanical stress. Facilities involved in shot blasting, heavy-duty metal grinding, or rock crushing generate high-velocity debris that can easily puncture or shred lightweight materials. Furthermore, extreme temperature fluctuations and constant physical impact from heavy machinery can cause standard barriers to fatigue and fail prematurely. Without a specialized, high-density solution, maintaining safety perimeters in these "high-wear" zones becomes a cycle of constant repair and replacement, leading to increased operational downtime and safety vulnerabilities.

Reinforced Impact Resistance and Sound Dampening

Our industrial rubber curtains provide an elite level of protection designed for the most demanding applications. As a specialized heavy-duty offering within our industrial curtain walls range, these barriers are manufactured from high-tensile, abrasion-resistant rubber compounds. Unlike thinner alternatives, these curtains are engineered to absorb the kinetic energy of flying debris and sparks without tearing. The dense material also acts as a superior acoustic barrier, significantly deadening the roar of industrial machinery. Each system is precision-tailored to your facility's dimensions and mounted on extra-strength hardware, ensuring a stable, long-lasting shield that stands up to the rigors of mining, manufacturing, and heavy fabrication.

Strategic Benefits of Industrial Rubber Barriers

  • Superior Abrasion and Impact Defense: Providing a rugged shield that withstands direct hits from sharp metal fragments and abrasive particulates, far outlasting standard PVC options.
  • Advanced Acoustic Insulation: Utilizing the natural density of rubber to dampen high-decibel noise, helping facilities meet occupational health and safety noise regulations.
  • Extreme Temperature Stability: Remaining flexible and effective in environments with high thermal stress or cold-storage exposure where other materials might become brittle or melt.
  • Chemical and Oil Resistance: Formulated to resist degradation from industrial oils, greases, and many chemical splashes, making them ideal for automotive and petrochemical facilities.
Measuring

Step 1 – Width x Height

  • Measure the width and the height of the door
opening or area where you want to install the
    strips.
  • Add 6" more in total height and add 6" total in width
    if you want wall
    mount hardware

Step 2 – Choose Your Hardware

  • Decide on the type of mounting that best fits
    your application

    • Wall mount is preferred on doorways. This gets
the hardware out of the doorway and allows the
strips to overlap the door jambs for maximum
      seal and air lock.
    • For in-jamb use header mount, simply order the
exact size you need to span the opening.
    • Universal mount can also be used when you are
      not sure.
