Curtains With Track
Step #1 - Width
- Measure the distance that you are trying to cover
- We will generally add 5% to this dimension to give your curtain proper drape.
- When you receive your quote, the hardware width will be the actual width.
Step #2 - Height
- Measure the distance from the floor to the mounting point
- We will subtract 76 mm to account for the hardware to keep your curtain just off the ground.
- If you want the floor sweep option, we also subtract the 76 mm. This will allow the floor sweep to lie slightly on the floor while the main curtain is just off the floor.
- If you have a sloped ceiling, please provide us with the high point height and the low point height. We will assume it is a linear, straight slope.
- We will subtract 76 mm to account for the hardware to keep your curtain just off the ground.
Common Questions
What is the spacing from the bottom of the track to the top of the curtain?
Standard curtains have approximately 12.7 mm of a gap from the bottom of the track to the top of the curtain.
How much width does the radius corner add to the length?
A radius corner has a 2' radius. So if you input 10' for curtain length you will end up with 12' when you attach the radius corner. If that is too long then simply cut the track onsite and the radius will still work.
Can I simply drill straight through the track and into the ceiling / structure?
Yes. This is called a flush mount install and is very common. Simply drill through the middle of the track and use a small wood screw, bolt, Tek screw...ect into your structure. Space the holes about every 3-5'.
How hard is it to install the industrial curtain track?
It is very easy. All of the components simply fit into each other and connect with set screws. The installation is very intuitive. If you have any difficulty simply call or email us and we will walk you through the process.
Curtain Stack Up / Collapsed When Pulled Back
When curtains are pulled back they take up 6” per side of the track or 12” total width
Standard curtains, (those that are not insulated) take up about 1.5" of space when pulled back and stored. As an example a 50' curtain will store in about 50" of space (See "A" Below) Insulated curtains will take up about 3" of space when pulled back and stored.
