A curtain wall is the fastest way to create a clean area inside a large warehouse. A track-mounted vinyl curtain runs from the floor all the way to the ceiling and keeps machining dust, packing debris and overspray on one side, with your clean work or storage area on the other. There are no stud walls and no building work.
Our warehouse curtain dividers and industrial curtain walls are made to your measurements.
Getting People and Forklifts Through
A floor-to-ceiling curtain wall that stays in one place still needs a way in and out. An entry point lets people and forklifts move between the clean area and the rest of the warehouse quickly, without pulling the curtain open.
The three most common options are strip curtains, swinging doors and powered roll-up doors. Strip curtains are the most popular and the lowest cost. Each option comes with a freestanding frame that anchors to the floor and seals to the curtain wall, so the clean side stays closed off.
Seal the Top, Floor and Sides
For a clean area, the curtain has to reach the ceiling. If it stops short, dust simply drifts over the top into the clean side. A curtain only keeps an area clean if the gaps are closed. Dust moves through the smallest openings, so check three places before you order: the ceiling, the floor, and the ends where the curtain meets a wall or column.
This matters most next to machining. The Health and Safety Executive warns that breathing in mist from metalworking fluids can cause lung conditions such as occupational asthma, and advises firms to prevent or control airborne mist (HSE guidance on metalworking fluids). A sealed curtain wall helps keep that mist and dust on the machining side.
A flexible curtain reduces dust moving between areas. It is not an airtight, certified cleanroom, but for separating a clean area from machining, packing or dispatch it is a fast, low-cost barrier.
1. Ceiling Valance
A valance closes the space between the track and the ceiling, so the curtain wall runs all the way up and dust cannot drift over the top. It is priced at the same cost per square foot as the curtain.
2. Floor Sweep
A floor sweep along the bottom hem lets the curtain rest on the floor and stops dust blowing underneath.
3. Wall Seal
A wall seal lets the curtain close tight against the wall, so there is no open slot at the end of the run.

Add about 5%
Our vinyl curtains come in 13 oz medium duty and 18 oz heavy duty. Choose the heavier vinyl where there is more traffic or impact on the line.
An opaque curtain with a clear vision panel hides the dusty side while people and forklift drivers can still see through. The curtain hangs from a track, so it slides open for access and closes fully when you need the seal.
A threaded rod mount hangs the track from a beam or the roof. The mount does not include the threaded rods, so buy rods cut to the lengths you need. Allow about 5% extra width so the curtain hangs in soft folds, and remember our vinyl curtains meet fire code requirements.
