FAQ

How does the shade work?
The CS-500 is a retractable shade. Pull the curtain out along the steel cable and secure the cable to any vertical surface. You can then slide the curtain open and closed while leaving the cable in place. When complete access is needed, release the cable and it retracts into the spring-loaded spool.

Does the unit come with the mounting post?
The mounting post is optional. If you need the shade to be completely free-standing in the centre of the floor, two posts are required. Each post should be anchored to the concrete floor for stability.

What does the shade connect to?
A mounting bracket is included with every unit, which can be fixed to our optional free-standing post or to any suitable vertical surface such as a wall, column, or structural beam.

Does the shade assembly swivel?
Yes. The assembly swivels left and right, giving you unrestricted access around the work cell when the curtain is stowed.

Do you supply custom sizes?
We can provide shades smaller than the standard sizes listed on the website. Larger shades are not available, as the additional weight would cause the cable to sag.

Can these be electrically interlocked with machinery?
Safety interlocks and proximity switches can be fitted on site by your controls contractor or a competent maintenance electrician. We do not supply the electronic components, but this is a common retrofitâcustomers install limit switches to ensure the curtain is fully extended before the equipment can start.
