How much should I subtract from my total height to accommodate the track?

As a general rule, you should subtract 3 inches (approx 7.5cm) from your total opening space. This deduction accounts for the track profile and rollers, keeping the curtain just off the floor to prevent dragging and wear.

What is the spacing from the bottom of the track to the top of the curtain?

Standard industrial curtains have approximately 0.50" to 0.75" (1.2cm to 1.9cm) of a gap from the bottom of the track to the top of the curtain, depending on the roller hook used.

Does the type of track mount change the height calculation?

Yes. Different supports (Ceiling, Wall, Threaded Rod, or I-Beam) have varying profiles. You must subtract the specific dimension of the track support used to ensure the curtain hangs at the correct elevation.

What happens if my curtain is too tall?

If a curtain is slightly too tall, it can be field-cut at the bottom using a utility knife. All AKON vinyl curtains are designed to be field-cut without affecting the warranty or performance, though this will remove features like weighted chain pockets.
