Description
Safeguard High-Value Assets with Industrial Custom Padded Protective Covers
The High Cost of Surface Damage and Impact Related Failure
In fast-paced industrial and commercial environments, static protection from dust and moisture is often not enough. Valuable equipment, sensitive electronics, and finished products are at constant risk from accidental impacts, falling tools, and abrasive contact during transit or storage. A single scratch on a medical lens, a dent in a specialized manifold, or a shattered control screen can lead to thousands of pounds in repair costs and critical operational downtime. Standard thin vinyl covers provide a moisture barrier but offer zero resistance against the kinetic energy of a collision, leaving your most fragile assets vulnerable to human error and environmental hazards.
Heavy-Duty Impact Absorption and Tailored Armor
Our custom padded protective covers provide a robust, multi-layered defense system designed to absorb shocks and prevent surface marring. Engineered with a dense, shock-absorbing foam core sandwiched between two layers of heavy-duty reinforced vinyl, these covers act as "industrial armor" for your equipment. Each cover is precision-manufactured to your exact specifications, ensuring a snug fit that eliminates the shifting and rubbing associated with generic padding. The exterior PVC layer remains waterproof and chemical-resistant, while the interior lining is designed to be non-abrasive against polished surfaces. Featuring reinforced seams and secure fastening options—such as heavy-duty Velcro or industrial webbing straps—these covers provide peace of mind in even the most rigorous handling conditions.

Common Questions
Which material should I choose?
If you are trying to choose between the 18oz and 12oz vinyl materials, please choose based on your environment. For regular weather conditions, 12 oz. vinyl is a great material at a slightly less expensive price. If you are going to experience heavy weather conditions such as heavy snow, heavy rain, and lots of wind, then please choose the 18 oz. vinyl material.
What is the most common material?
The 18 ounce vinyl is used to make 90% of the covers ALCO offers. Even though both materials are equally strong and look the same, the majority of customers pick the thicker material.
Are they easy to clean?
Yes. Contrary to other polyester covers that resemble canvas, vinyl is a material that is extremely slick and is therefore simple to clean. Canvas will capture and hold mold and stains that are difficult to remove, as opposed to the sleek ALCO Vinyl custom furniture covers.
How strong are the covers?
18 oz vinyl is a very strong and long-lasting material, in fact, it is the same material that is used on the semi trailers to cover their cargo! As you can imagine, the abuse the material can endure on the highway is extreme, and if they didn't hold up, the truckers would not use them. That is why 18 oz vinyl is one of the strongest covers that you can purchase.
My cover will be used indoors. Which material is ideal?
The 600D material is the perfect material for indoors or even outdoors if its mostly in the shade and not in harsh conditions.
Common Questions
Custom Padded Protective Covers – Frequently Asked Questions
What are Custom Padded Protective Covers used for?
They shield equipment, furniture, and machinery from bumps, abrasion, and grime during storage, staging, and transport. Ideal for movers, warehouses, commercial installs, and homeowners.
What material are they made from?
Our padded covers use a durable 700D polyester outer skin with quilted padding inside for impact resistance. The fabric is tough, tear-resistant, and designed for repeated handling.
Do the padded covers provide impact protection?
Yes. The quilted padding helps absorb incidental knocks, rubs, and scuffs that occur during moves or warehouse operations, reducing cosmetic damage to finishes and edges.
Are the covers waterproof?
The 700D padded covers are primarily designed for impact and abrasion protection. They are moisture-resistant but not fully waterproof like vinyl. For rain-exposed storage, ask about vinyl-skinned options.
How do I measure for a padded cover?
Measure Side A (width), Side B (length), and Side C (height) in inches. Include handles, casters, or protrusions you want covered. We add slack for fit on all sides except height.
What shapes can you make?
Choose from multiple presets (A–U) including rectangles, L-shapes, and specialty forms—or submit custom dimensions. Upload photos or drawings for complex geometries.
