.OVERVIEW
Our industrial curtain track with roller hooks enables smooth side-to-side movement, giving operatives full access to both sides of a work area. The heavy-duty track is modular, arriving in standard lengths of 0.6 m, 0.9 m, 1.2 m, 1.5 m, 1.8 m, 2.4 m, and 3 m that connect quickly with internal splice connectors. Every section is pressed from 16-gauge galvanised steel and carries a lifetime warranty, so the system stands up to daily use in warehouses, factories, and wash-down areas across the UK.
Engineered for Industrial Environments
Industrial Curtain Track
AKON supplies a wide range of industrial curtain track mounting options to suit virtually any ceiling or structural configuration (see below). Each track is pressed from robust 16-gauge galvanised steel, or stainless steel for food-safe environments. Standard lengths of 0.6 m, 0.9 m, 1.2 m, 1.5 m, 1.8 m, 2.4 m, and 3 m connect seamlessly with internal splices, so there is no practical limit to the overall run length.
Curtain Track Corners
Almost any layout is achievable with our 90-degree radius corners. Each corner section has a 61 cm radius, allowing the curtain to sweep smoothly around bends. Hard 90-degree corners are also available for tighter turns where a gradual curve is not required.
Curtain Track Supports
A variety of track supports are available to match your building structure. These brackets clamp or bolt onto the straight track and are typically spaced every 150 cm to 240 cm, depending on curtain weight. Below you will find the most common support types, each designed for quick fitting with standard hand tools.
Industrial Curtain Hooks
Roller hooks let the curtain glide from side to side with minimal friction. They are available in two styles: nylon wheels for lighter panels (rated to 18 kg per hook) and steel ball-bearing wheels for heavier curtains (rated to 34 kg per hook). Quad-wheel steel trolleys handle loads up to 57 kg. All hooks are galvanised for corrosion resistance and are equally suited to indoor, outdoor, and wet environments.
Curtain Track Mounts
Ceiling Mount
Ceiling mounting is the preferred option when the track can be fixed directly to the underside of a solid roof deck or concrete soffit. The bracket sits flush against the ceiling and secures with standard fixings.
Wall Mount
Wall-mount brackets are the right choice when the track runs along a vertical surface such as a masonry wall, blockwork partition, or timber truss. Fixings are spaced to suit the substrate.
Chain or Cable Mount
Chain or wire-rope suspension works well when the track needs to hang from tall ceilings or bypass overhead obstructions. The cable length is adjustable with turnbuckles for accurate levelling.
Threaded Rod Mount
Threaded rod hangers are ideal for dropping the track below ducting, pipework, or high ceilings. The rod length is cut to size on site, giving precise height adjustment. Note: anchors for all-thread rods can be found here.
I-Beam Mount
I-beam clamps grip the flange of structural steelwork or roof trusses. Set screws lock the clamp in place without the need for drilling, making this method popular in steel-framed warehouses and portal-frame buildings.
Static Mounts
Aluminium Angle
Aluminium angle and Tek screws hold the curtain in place. The angle is clamped to joists or anchored into the roof deck, then self-tapping screws pass through the curtain grommets with a washer to pinch the panel firmly against the angle. Side-to-side movement: NO
I-Beam Clamps
I-beam clamps mount to any flange including joists, purlins, and structural steelwork. An eye hook passes through the curtain grommet and threads into the underside of the clamp. Side-to-side movement: NO
Mounting Ideas (Not Supplied by AKON)
Tension Cables
You can suspend your curtain from steel wire rope, S-hooks, and cable turnbuckles to tension the line. S-hooks thread through the curtain grommets. These fittings are not supplied by AKON but are readily available from most hardware shops and online retailers. Side-to-side movement: YES
Magnetic Curtain Hooks
Magnetic curtain hangers support up to 29.5 kg per hook. They are a versatile, drill-free option that allows you to hang and remove curtains quickly. Only a few hooks are needed for a long curtain run, and they work especially well on steel cladding or steelwork flanges. Side-to-side movement: NO

Construction
Our curtain tracks are pressed from hot-dip galvanised steel, suitable for both indoor and outdoor installations. Unlike lightweight domestic track, AKON industrial hardware is designed for heavy-duty, high-cycle use in demanding environments. The track wall thickness is 16 gauge (1.6 mm), providing outstanding rigidity and a lifetime of reliable service.
