Common Questions

Insulated Thermal Pallet Covers — Frequently Asked Questions

Do you make covers to exact pallet sizes?

Yes. We build to your exact length × width × height and support U.S. and Euro footprints. Stock heights include 36", 48", 60", 72" (U.S.) and 91cm, 122cm, 152cm, 183cm (Euro), plus any custom size.

Which skin material should I choose — vinyl or polyester?

12oz vinyl (R3 insulated) is durable with a slick, easy-clean surface for tough routes and outdoor staging. 700D polyester (R3 insulated) is lighter for indoor lanes or mild weather. Both feature double-layer hems.

How much thermal protection do these provide?

Standard builds are approximately R3 insulated to buffer against ambient swings. They help maintain target temperatures during loading, transport, and short-term storage. They are not active coolers or heaters.

Are the covers waterproof and UV resistant?

Yes. Skins are waterproof/water resistant and UV-rated for outdoor exposure. Vinyl offers the longest life in full sun, rain, and wind.

Do you offer access panels for scanning or partial picks?

Yes. Add zippered or hook-and-loop doors for carton-level access, plus document windows or clear PVC scan windows to read labels without opening.

What labeling or branding options are available?

Choose text/image printing on the skin for branding or handling notes. Add a packer pocket (document pouch) for BOLs, temp logs, and picks.

How do the covers secure to pallets?

Options include elastic hems, webbing straps with side-release buckles, and grommets for tie-downs. We can position hardware to avoid forklift snag points.

Do they work with gel packs, dry ice, or phase change?

Yes. Covers pair well with your pre-conditioned payload (gel packs/PCM, or dry ice per your SOPs). Always follow product-specific transport guidelines.

How should I measure my palletized load?

Measure the maximum L × W × H of the loaded pallet, including any overhang or top dunnage. Note protrusions (data loggers, probe leads) so we can add reliefs or ports. We add slack on all sides except height.

Are the covers collapsible/returnable?

Yes. They are fully collapsible for efficient reverse logistics. Fold flat, band, and return with minimal cube.

How do I clean and sanitize the covers?

Wipe skins with mild soap and water and air dry. Avoid abrasives and bleach. The slick vinyl surface is especially easy to wipe clean between runs.

Can I stack pallets with covers on?

These are not load-rated structural covers. Do not use as a stacking aid or place loads on top unless your facility has a tested, validated method.

What’s the lead time, shipping, and warranty?

Typical fabrication is 10–12 work days. Free shipping on qualifying orders. Vinyl warranty: 5 years. 700D polyester warranty: 3 years when used as intended.

Does a cover change my product’s regulatory status?

No. Covers buffer temperature and protect from weather/debris but do not replace validated packaging, GDP/FSMA/HACCP controls, or site SOPs.

Do you offer volume pricing or custom programs?

Yes. Request a custom quote for volume discounts, standardized specs (U.S./Euro footprints), and multi-site rollouts.
