OVERVIEW
Laser barrier curtains provide reliable protection for sensitive work areas where Class 3B and Class 4 lasers are in use. The heavy-duty materials are configured to suit virtually any enclosure layout your application demands.
Our laser curtains glide side to side on an industrial curtain track system, or can be static-mounted to wall brackets. They are lightweight, easy to reposition, and collapse into a compact stack when drawn back. Typical uses include portable laser barriers, full-blackout laser enclosures, and bespoke laser curtain panels. Class 4 laser curtains are available across our full product range.

Cleanroom Skins
This protective layer adds cleanroom, antistatic, and antibacterial properties — all in one. It is sewn onto the front and back of the laser safety curtain.
ESD Skins
This protective layer adds antistatic properties and is sewn onto the front and back of the laser curtain. Tested to ASTM D-257 methods, the Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) Standard Protective Layer has a surface resistance of 10⁶–10⁷ Ω/sq.m.

Curtain Track For Movement
6 Curtain Track Styles
Hanging Track
Industrial curtain track with roller hooks allows you to slide the laser safety curtains from side to side, giving full access to both sides of your work area. The heavy-duty curtain track is modular in design and bolts together with straightforward fixings.
Free Standing Track
Where ceiling-mounted track is not practical, a floor-supported framework provides full overhead clearance. Free-standing laser curtains are held in place by uprights with base plates. The uprights are typically spaced every 2.4 m to 3 m, allowing the curtain to be drawn back completely when not in use.
Easy Glide Rollers
The roller hooks let the curtain glide smoothly from side to side with minimal friction. They are spaced evenly along the top of the curtain and clip into the grommets. When the curtain is not needed, it lifts off the hooks quickly — unlike clamp-on rollers that require tools to remove.
Easy Installation
Each track is supplied with end stops to contain the rollers inside the rail. Track supports should be fixed approximately every 1.5 m; the greater the spacing, the greater the deflection under load. For lighter curtains, supports can be spaced up to around 2.4 m apart.
Laser Barrier Covers
Other Features
Window laser safety covers attach to the wall or doorframe around the observation window using grommets, magnets, or hook-and-loop tape. They are an economical option that is simple to fit, remove, or store when not in use. We supply covers rated up to 2,150 W/cm² for 100 seconds.
- Grommets – Inserted into your bespoke cover, allowing it to hang on hooks or trolley runners
- Hook & Loop Tape – Applied along the window edges; adheres to the wall or door surround, providing full coverage
- Magnets – Fitted to the cover edges and the wall or door surround, holding the curtain firmly in place
- Cleanroom Layer – An outer layer with antibacterial and antistatic properties for straightforward cleaning
Laser Curtain Valances
Optional Valance
A valance is used where there is a gap between the mounting hardware and the top edge of the laser safety curtain. Ideally the valance should hang 15 cm to 30 cm below the curtain track to close the light path completely.
Need Portable Laser Curtains?
Mobile Laser Blocking | Rigid Panel
Rigid laser panels are essential where hand-held welding lasers or high-output fibre lasers are in operation. Our rigid panels prevent accidental exposure to hazardous radiation, significantly reducing the risk of injury in busy workshop environments.
If you require laser barrier protection rated up to 10,000 W/cm² irradiance (tested for 100 seconds at a 1 mm beam diameter), the rigid panel is the ideal choice. We supply multiple standard sizes and can configure any layout to suit your work cell.
Mobile Laser Blocking | Soft Panel
Portable laser curtain screens are available from stock and ready for dispatch. If you need laser barrier protection rated up to 575 W/cm² (tested at 1064 nm with a 1 mm beam diameter), a portable laser barrier screen is the most practical option.
The divider screens can form a single partition, a two-sided enclosure, a three-sided enclosure, or a full four-sided booth, along with many other configurations. We supply these portable barrier screens with robust steel framework, lockable castors, and laser-rated fabric — an excellent protection solution for compact laser environments.
Retractable Laser Blocking | Rigid Panel
Retractable laser barrier curtains roll up neatly when not in use. Unlike floor-standing styles, the retractable roll-up laser blocking curtain has a very compact footprint. It is hand-pulled with spring-tension operation, and the shade extends up to 7.5 m.
The SB-9000 Laser Curtain provides a space-saving alternative to barriers that rest on the floor — ideal for busy production cells where floor area is at a premium.
