Stay In Compliance With Approved Curtains
Key Benefits of the Food Grade Approved Curtains
- The curtain material is constructed from 40 mil USDA-grade clear, non-porous flexible PVC, leaving bacteria with nowhere to grow. Traditional PVC curtain materials can collect bacteria and create an unsanitary environment if left untreated.
- The stainless steel “open-top” track and trolley system minimises crevices and allows constant airflow across the hardware. This design eliminates dark, stagnant areas created by enclosed track systems where bacteria can collect and grow.
- The design prevents cross-contamination between processing lines. End users of this food-grade approved curtain system value its ability to sanitarily separate one area from another, such as preventing ingredients from one mixing process entering another within the plant.
- Helps reduce process-line shutdowns during wash-down cycles by creating a sanitary barrier between areas with the food-grade accredited curtains.
- Features a double-reinforced top hem and no hems on the bottom or vertical edges. Overlapped and sewn hems create additional places for bacteria to enter and grow. A custom top hem removes the “bubble effect” created by overlapped hems while still providing the durability required to support the weight of the curtain and withstand daily pulling and sliding by plant workers.
Slick Clean Surface
Food Grade Curtains Stay Clean
- Curtain panel sections overlap on trolley hooks, eliminating the need for Velcro connections. Velcro made from traditional nylon and polyester inevitably becomes wet and dirty in a food processing environment. With each panel overlapping by approximately 30 cm or more on the hardware trolley hooks, you can effectively prevent wash breakthrough and cross-contamination while maintaining the sanitary environment you require.
- All surfaces of the food grade certified curtain are fully wash-down capable.
- The extruded PVC is the clearest in the industry. While some flexible PVC from other suppliers can have a cloudy tint, our PVC material has been praised for its excellent clarity for over 20 years.
- Custom sizes and radius bends are available. No matter the size or scope of your project, AKON LLC can custom-manufacture a solution for your specific application.
- Order accuracy assurance. AKON, LLC places top priority on getting your order correct. For every order, approval drawings are created by our engineers and must be signed and dated before production begins.
